Mosaic, The Journal for Language Teachers, was founded in 1984 by Anthony Mollica who was also the Editor until 2024. Since 2024, the journal has been edited by Roberto Dolci and Silvia Gilardoni.
Since its foundation, the journal has been a point of reference for researchers and teachers of modern languages, initially in North America, and then expanding internationally.
The journal aims to increase research on all theoretical, methodological and applied aspects in the field of language education, that make up the scientific universe concerning the teaching and learning of modern languages and cultures.
The journal is included among those of Band A for Area 10 according to the classification of ANVUR (National Agency for the Evaluation of Universities and Research Institutes).
The languages of publication are French, English, Italian and Spanish.
